What do our current and past guests say? No matter who you are or what you do, Umaya has something special for you.
Umaya was my first step into remote work. As a digital event producer I was nervous but I facilitated events viewed by 1m+ people across 50+ countries. I now have more freelance work than ever before.
Adam Sprules - Digital Event Producer
I wrote my 4th album at Umaya. I've never been so productive. Everyone was supportive and friendly which made the atmosphere electric.

This little slice of peninsula heaven has brought a tremendous amount of joy over the past month. Umaya Village is not just an office upgrade, but is a space where you can connect with kind and curious nomads from around the world while immersing yourself in local culture. I am walking away from this experience with new skillsets, perspective and most importantly, beautiful new friends.
Hallie Cross - Music Marketer, Universal
I needed to figure out what my next moves were, but didn't wanna stress. I was mulling it around when Umaya Village went live with a presentation; 'Natalia Rivas' Collaborating with Brands in Film', whilst I am looking to be heavily involved within the film industry. It was clear that this is the place I needed to be; Interesting people doing interesting things. The big takeaways are; great beaches, nice relaxing atmosphere and really cool people to hang out with on the regular.

I initially planned to stay for 3 weeks, but this turned into almost three months because I found it so hard to leave! At Umaya you have a community of people which you can socialise with, learn from, go on trips and build genuine friendships with. I got to learn about so many different professions and the skill sharing was a really valuable aspect of the experience for me. I got to live in a beautiful apartment, right on the lagoon, with a huge pool, amazing food, super friendly staff, I got so much work done, made new friends, and would highly recommend it!

Coming to Umaya, was such a wonderful decision! It gave me the “coworkers” I’ve never had. The break in my normal pace and change of space has allowed me to focus on myself and grow in ways I couldn’t have dreamed. I have also met so many people who have inspired me to live my best life in a non traditional way! I will take away from this experience the memories and bonds with such phenomenal people!
Kennedy Shelton - Language Teacher
We had been without a home travelling since October. It's the first time since then that we've had people to enjoy the journey with. It’s exciting to wake up and enjoy a day with friends. It's changed my perspective on travel, made me love it again, especially wanting to look out for opportunities to meet and make friendships with people.
Dominique Toutounji - Marketing Execuitive
Wow, what a great 5 weeks here. Umaya village was an opportunity for me to work in paradise. The community supports a work ethic during the day, and awesome holiday vibes during evening and wkds. I have to admit it took some strong self discipline to work with such a great sea and pool outside!. The vibe is much better than traditional retreats as you live in a community of awesome new friends, rather than with transient strangers who claim loungers by leaving towels on them! Am super keen to come back and get more involved fosho. This place and the people are great

I loved every minute of my time here. Great people, beautiful resort, lots of great activities, what else is there to say?
Natalia Rivas - Movie Project Coordinator
As an entrepreneur focused on wellbeing, finding a place that offers a calm, grounded and creative environment is essential to unlocking your inner potential. Thanks Umaya for being just that.
